Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure that involves creating a series of microscopic punctures in the skin’s surface with a hand-held device. The ProCell Pen creates invisible micro-perforations in the skin to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin. This allows your body to naturally repair signs of damage for smoother, firmer, and healthier looking skin. Human stem cells penetrate the channels created by the micro needling to enhance the production of healthy new skin.
Microneedling can be safely used on nearly all parts of the body with the most frequent treatment areas being on the face, neck, décolleté, arms and hands.
Visual improvement occurs approximately two days after treatment, however, this can vary depending on how quickly your skin heals. Continued improvement occurs over 2 to 3 weeks and up to 6 months following treatment as collagen production continues.
For optimal results, we recommend a series of 5 treatments at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks. More severe or advanced conditions, such as scars or deeper wrinkles, can require additional treatments.
With shorter needle lengths, the skin may remain unchanged or exhibit a red glow. With longer needle lengths, the skin will look sunburned for a day or two with potential pinprick scabbing (red dots) and will return to normal by day 2 or 3.
